At Esther Neonatal Kitten Alliance, we rely on a passionate team of volunteers to help us save the tiniest, most vulnerable lives. From cleaning kennels to socializing kittens to transporting animals to and from appointments, every role matters — and every volunteer helps us do more.
Getting started is easy!
⭐⭐ Just watch our online volunteer orientation. It only takes about 20 minutes to complete, it’s self-paced, and it will save your progress if you need to come back later.
At the end of the orientation, you’ll get a link to create your volunteer profile—then you’ll be ready to start signing up for shifts right away!

Why Volunteer With Us?
Esther Neonatal Kitten Alliance is one of the only organizations in the country dedicated solely to neonatal and medically fragile kitten rescue. Most of the animals we save are newborn, orphaned, or severely ill — and without our care, they likely wouldn’t survive. When you volunteer with us, you’re helping provide these tiny lives with the second chance they deserve. We welcome volunteers from Asheville, Buncombe County, across Western North Carolina, and beyond — no prior experience needed.
